Do you want it to be a period of fulfilment or one of frustration and failure to grasp opportunities? What are your choices? Work with Chapter3 and understand your options and make the choices you want to lead the life you want.
We work with organisations to support economically inactive individuals into active and fulfilling futures for example enterprise and volunteering making a difference in their communities. We partner and want to continue to expand our networks with experts in their field, we influence others who are supporting and influencing change and are delighted to work with, support and pool knowledge and experience with any organisation who has a similar agenda.
Are you looking to increase engagement, performance, and loyalty of mature workers? Losing employees, who have specialist knowledge, skills and strong company values, as you are aware, brings a high price tag when they leave or become disengaged
Our research shows mature workers want to be valued and continue to use their skills and experience in later life… but not sure how to make this happen
It’s time to think very carefully:
Do you maximise your use of the best skills, experience and knowledge in your workforce and know where they lie
Do you have an organisational culture that engages your whole workforce and enthuses and inspires them to them to bring their best to the job
Do you understand the diverse range of skills attitudes and beliefs across your multigenerational teams and use them to add value
Do you or any of your teams cherish myths and misconceptions about older workers that means you don’t capitalise on their contribution and instead think about nudging them out the door through redundancy and early retirement schemes
Do you take action to ensure a reputation in the marketplace as an employers who cares for their staff
We bring you a challenge and some clear thinking based on statistical evidence that clearly shows the negative impact on businesses who are not having the debates in the boardrooms about retaining and recruiting older workers now.
First of all, you should know we have appointed ourselves an unofficial mouthpiece for our generation: baby boomers. You know us…we’re that group of people, who won’t listen to anything about ageing, the sandwich generation caring for our parents and subsidizing our children, we still care about changing the world and philanthropy, we’re continuously changing the rules we put place and we want our third chapter to be one of fulfilment and self-actualisation
Chapter3 is at the vanguard of providing practical solutions and thinking space to employers, trade unions and individuals and is fast becoming a valued source of advice and guidance. Our 3 directors are happy to facilitate conferences exploring issues around the aging population and are all expert, experienced, inspiring and engaging speakers.
We are a talented group of individuals who just happen to have more than 50 years experience of life on this planet. We don’t want to stop working, and know that for many facing unemployment over 50 years old, life can be quite daunting.
For Geoff it was about getting back his confidence, after 6 years out of work – it was only six weeks after the workshop Geoff started a new job.
Geoff, Choices Workshop
The best thing about the day was meeting other people, seeing other people in the same situation and feeling the same and leaving the course with some ideas and a way forward.
